I haven't done a vampire in awhile...nonetheless, a female one. I'm partial to the males, nevertheless, vampire children are twisted and cute so here is one. With the exception of a few devilish things, I really like how this came out. I was just going to try something different as if she was coming out of the dark.

I really tried with the hands, but alas, I will get it fully right one day.

The rose brush was from some google site, I cannot recall. Bah, but it looks like it would be a nice print so I may make it one.

The hand near her mouth looks GREAT, IMO. It's just the other one that looks off, in part I think because her finger lengths aren't quite right. I think her index finger looks a bit longer than it should and the joints aren't as defined as they are in the other hand.

Sorry. ^^; I really really like this. My favorite part is how she seems to be just part of the blackness other than her face and hands. It's just such a nifty effect. I also like how her expression is so disinterested. Like she's been there, done that, has the t-shirt, even though she only looks like she's twelve.

:hug: No problem! I don't think I know a single artist who isn't still struggling with hands (even a few professionals). ^_^ It's just, with all those little bones and joints crammed into such a small space, it's hard to capture the range of poses a hand can have.

Its all about that, though! If you think about the bone structure inside the fingers, it helps so much. I rarely have problems with hands, and when I do, I just look at my own hand in that pose and make a mental note of the structure. For me, at least, thats the easiest way to do it, also it helps to use sharper angles for the knuckles and bends instead of rounded curves, however, its all up to your style. Aside from the hands, this picture is pretty cool!
