Underloved Artist Blog Is Complete

Thu Dec 24, 2009, 7:34 AM
Hey guys! Thanks for Jamgirl and Justin's deviant suggestions for the Underappreciated Artist's Blog.

I added those, as well as my own picks and compiled a list: [link]

Hhaha, you also get to see my first deviation which is prehistoric. xD

If you have any more last minute adds, I'll be happy to put them. I somehow have 5 subscribers to the blog already, so I am happpppyyyyy.

Anyhoo, I hope everyone has a great Christmas, Hannakuh, or whatever Holiday you celebrate.

Holiday Cookies and Underappreciated Art

Wed Dec 23, 2009, 8:16 AM
Herro.

Since Monday my sisters and I have been on a holiday-cookie making craze. We gave up finally last night when we failed at making macaroons. It took me three times to make meringue, and I finally did...apparently not good enough because they all collapsed in the oven. Poo.
However, we made sugar, spritz, gingerbread and sour cream fudge cookies and I might even sneak in some pitzels. :D

I took lots of pictures of the cookies and wrote about them. You can see the pictures here, including the parrot eating them:

Oh, and I'm going to write a blog about my favorite artists on deviantart--many being underloved or always in need of some more attention!:)

So, I have a few in mind, but if YOU have any suggestions of artists you love and/or need attention, please suggest someone.

I'd love to have, other than my suggestions on my blog, sections for fellow deviants that have ARTIST PICKS.

To Suggest an Artist, Answer:

So know any artists who deserve more attention for their art? &

Art Bloggin'?

Sat Dec 19, 2009, 2:59 PM
I decided to make a blog devoted entirely to art including drawing/painting, writing, and photography (and everything in between).

I like writing and...I like art. I've seen watches with blogs and insight on works. So I finally made one HERE:

I don't really like yapping on my description of pieces, but there is a lot more to it and the process.

I also intend to post scraps/sketches and concepts on there instead of here. I don't like posting sketches as deviations or scraps as it clutters.
But, on the blog I think it would be great because sketches, though incomplete, say a lot!

So, follow me on the blog and if you have a blog, I'd like to follow you!

If not, MAKE ONE!

It's The Holidays?

Tue Dec 15, 2009, 8:50 AM
Well, one of my sisters and I finally fully decorate the house. Err, or with as many Xmas decorations we have, which is a bit.

But, what has been putting a damper on my Holiday mood is that I don't know when my new job starts. It's going to be a stressful one, but I'm just happy to have one and one that will pay well. However, it would be nice to know when I start, yet my agency just keeps saying they will soon give me a starting date.

I just would like to get situated and prepare myself...and make money. :) I need to get outta PA, even the US momentarily and go to grad school. Therefore, I need money and a bit of it.

I miss college!

Oh, wrote a general article on my favorite person, Hayao Miyazaki: [link]

No Title Necessary

Wed Dec 9, 2009, 10:23 AM
Well, art, writing and everything has been slow for the last 3 months.
I just turned 23 two weeks ago, got my degree over 3 months ago, and finished my internship.

I think I've been kind of trying to map out some vague path of the next few years.

I haven't been to down, just bewildered and uninspired. I have many great ideas, especially for writing but I can't seem to write them as I'd like.

Now what? I wandered off to the temp agency in November and next week will have some stressful job I'd never get into, but it pays a lot and is fulltime for four months...and a JOB.
:faint:

I think of it as one step closer to getting out of PA and further from the States. I miss traveling and...college, but have little money for grad school. Boo.

Wish me luck.
